This privacy policy describes what information is made available to TE and third parties when you visit the TE website, use any of our services (the “Services”, which include the TE website) or official TE web pages on other sites, and how TE uses and stores that information.

We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant TE website. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than three (3) months past the termination of the user’s account.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SAFE

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. RESPONSIBILITY OF USERS
In Short: We do not accept responsibility for user generated content.
We may ask our stakeholders and community to share their photos and videos with the public on its websites. This type of media is generally defined as User Generated Content (UGC).
Users of the TE website acknowledge that such content is treated as being non-proprietary and nonconfidential. If you send this content to us, either via email, by tagging content on a social network, or via a specifically designed upload site, you are granting TE the irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right to use, reproduce, modify and publish such content elsewhere in its websites and publications.
Furthermore, you grant TE the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content.
However you still own and can continue to use your content as you like including the ability to also allow others to use it.
If you upload or share your content with the TE website or social media account, it might be used by any affiliate websites or social media accounts across the globe.
When we ask our community to share content with us, we explain how we intend to use the content. Mostly, we will re-share content on our social media channels or for our marketing purposes. If it is particularly strong, we may use the content shared with us. In those cases, we will attempt to contact you to discuss whether you agree for it to be used, and to ask whether and how you would like to be credited.
TE does not pay for nor does it generate any revenue from selling or licensing individual pieces of UGC.
Conditions to Upload Content
When you submit or share content with TE, you must only submit/share your own original content. If your content contains the work(s) of others (e.g. music, images and/or video) you must have obtained the necessary rights or permissions.
If your content clearly identifies anyone else you will need to ensure that the persons concerned have consented to the content being used by TE. Where your content clearly identifies children under the age of 16 you must ensure that their parent or guardian has provided their consent as set out above.
TE also requires that you do not submit or share any content or information:

That is knowingly false or misleading, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, threatening or invasive of a person’s privacy or unlawful in any way;

Which you do not own or for which you have not obtained all necessary licenses and/or approvals as may be required by law;

Which is technically harmful (including, without limitation, files that contain viruses, corrupted files or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer); or

Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with anyone or any entity

Any inappropriate content will be rejected or removed from TE websites and social media accounts. If in doubt, please do not share your content with TE. If you post on, or transmit to, any of our websites any content of the type prohibited under the above paragraphs or any applicable laws and regulations, and TE incurs any costs, expenses, liability or losses as a result then you agree to indemnify TE for all such costs, expenses, liability or losses.
You should be aware that TE is entitled to reveal your identity (or any information which it has about you) to any third party who is claiming that any of that content violates any of their rights or to any government or regulatory authority that may request TE to do so.
Uploading Content to Social Networks
If you upload content to a social network and then tag TE, your submission will be subject to that website’s terms of use and privacy policy. Please be aware of a website’s terms and privacy policy, which may differ from TE’s, when submitting your content to it. Some large UGC websites are also based in the US so your personal information may be stored outside your country where different laws apply.
INFORMATION FROM MINORS
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 years of age.
We do not knowingly solicit data from children under 16 years of age. By using the TE website, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the TE website.
If we learn that personal information from users less than 16 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
PRIVACY RIGHTS – EEA
In Short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (UK), you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
In some regions (like the EEA and UK), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. PRIVACY RIGHTS – CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.
If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the TE website, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the TE website.
